Check out how Eta Phi helps out the community through fun runs, car washes, bake sales & more!

Relay for Life, an annual fundraiser benefitting the American Cancer Society, was brought to Furman by a member of our chapter in 2002! This past April, we raised over 22,000 dollars!

Alpha Delta Pi has long been involved in philanthropies and makes it a high priority to give back to the community. At our Grand Convention in 1979, our sorority voted to adopt the Ronald McDonald Houses as the new national philanthropy. The Ronald McDonald House was first opened in Philadelphia in 1974 by Fred Hill, a football player for the Philadelphia Eagles. Because Hill’s daughter Kim was treated for leukemia at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, he was inspired to help other families of the children at the hospital. Hill helped expand the Ronald McDonald Houses, and today they are located throughout the world near hospitals, providing a “home away from home” for families with children suffering from cancer. Collegians and alumnae volunteer their time to work at the houses and sponsor fundraising events for the houses. Eta Phi contributes to the Ronald McDonald House of Greenville by volunteering every week and buying needed household items, as well as collecting pop tabs for the Charity.  We also hold fundraisers every year to raise money to give to the Ronald McDonald House. This past October we held "Fall Fest", a three day event that included a pumpkin-painting contest, a cornhole tournament, and our annual Pie a Pi! With the help of other Greek organizations around campus, we were able to raise over a thousand dollars for our local Ronald McDonald House!
